John Waynelovich (or “Wayno,” as he is referred to by friends) has spent the last decade flying at high altitudes as the keyboardist of New England based roots-rock outfit, Barefoot Truth. Wayno first appeared with the band on their record “Walk Softly” (Produced By Jack Gauthier, Dispatch). Shortly after his recording debut with the band, he landed a full time spot with them on the road, riding along for several tours supporting such artists as Pete Francis (Dispatch), Eric Hutchinson, Grace Potter, and Kid Cudi. The band’s most recent release, “Carry Us On,” debuted at #10 on the i-tunes Rock charts.
Following the band’s decision to take a hiatus from live shows, Wayno moved to Los Angeles to pursue audio production. While in LA, he and Barefoot Truth bandmate Jay Driscoll co-founded the HIIT interval music company, “Tabata Songs.” Amidst writing dozens of fitness music tracks to keep people energized and engaged while working out to a timer, the company quickly accrued internet traction, gaining over 145,000 youtube subscribers, as well as surpassing 100,000 Facebook likes.
Currently, John works as a private music instructor and continues to produce for Tabata Songs, as well as for select artists. In addition, he can be found touring the US with one of the country’s largest dance conventions, JUMP, where he provides Iive music for workshop classes of hundreds of students alongside world renown contemporary dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Teddy Forance. When he’s not teaching, producing, performing, or traveling the country (or practicing his high jump over the keyboard), Wayno is steadily working towards his own artistry in hopes of releasing his second self-titled EP in 2018! Stay tuned for new music, coming soon!
